We manage the blending and testing process, so you can concentrate on marketing the finished product.

Brokerage

This option allows for objectivity and transparency, and a neutral standpoint, where optimal delivery options can be established between the physical suppliers and the buyers in the bunker supply chain.

Risk Management

Oil prices are volatile. Bunker fuels make up the largest operating expense of a ship owner or charterer’s bottom line. Add them together and you see soaring costs in an unpredictable market.

We offer an extensive range of financial and risk management instruments to hedge this uncertainty and keep your procurement costs low and manageable. We also actively manage derivative portfolios for you, in view of favourable price movements.

Whilst complex in nature, we simplify below our most commonly used paper trading strategies.

Fixed Forward Price (Swaps)

Fixed Forward Price (Swaps)

A swap agreement enables you to lock in future prices for a specific time period.

Advantages

Customer is protected from potential price risk in the future, with flexibility in physical supply.

No upfront premium

Good for budgeting

Disadvantages

There may be opportunity costs if the market price falls below the Swap Price.

    Fixed Forward Collar (Collars)
